gotja social specializes in using targeted marketing strategies to give brands real relationships with their audience, resulting in stronger engagement & brand loyalty. Our clients include black female owned brands that serve customers in the fashion, beauty, and health industries. 

gotja social was started by Allison Christy, a Mississippi native. Now living in Los Angeles, CA, Allison is the Marketing Director behind the scenes, building relationships between brands and their consumers across digital media. Allison's professional career stems from her background in customer relations, retail management, and training. 

In 2012, Allison worked as the Consumer Insights Manager for Disney - ABC Television Group. In this role, Allison was responsible for training small to large teams on web-based, mobile, and over-the-top platforms and creating supporting training documents and videos for dozens of platforms across the ABC, Disney, and ABC Family/Freeform networks. Her training technique has been applauded as being a fun and interactive learning experience, that leaves individuals feeling empowered.

In addition to working full-time at Disney, Allison was a part-time freelancer, offering marketing and web design services for small brands who had or wanted an online presence. With her business savvy and well-rounded skill sets in marketing strategies, design experience, expertise on web platforms like Big Cartel, Shopify, Wix, and other web platforms, knowledge in HTML and CSS, Allison has contributed to profitable gains for her clients, like helping them scale their businesses to make over a million dollars in annual sales.

Allison was one of the first adopters of running and optimizing advertising campaigns through Facebook, resulting in over 2 million Facebook fans for a client. She's built up clients' email lists to 70K+ email subscribers and established influencer relations and affiliate marketing programs for her clients. Allison continues to prove that small brands can compete and win over big brands in the digital space.  

Currently, Allison is running her marketing agency full-time and offering business consulting services for her clients. Allison understands that real marketing success happens when there is a good business foundation and she encourages her clients to be more strategic in their business operations to fully maximize their marketing potential. With the goal to push the confidence and marketing success of black female entrepreneurs, Allison believes her best value is being of service to her clients and working hand in hand with them; while, delivering world-class customer service.
